Hollie’s Dancing’ Dream opened in the summer of 2004. After 26 years of dance leadership experience, Hollie’s dream of opening her own studio became possible. for 10 years she had been admired by her young students, while instructing for the Community Education Program. Her other community roles have included delighting nursing home residents and creating enthusiasm with the Opening of the Beaches Parades. This enthusiasm continued with many seasons of dedicated service to the Jaguars by dancing and choreographing for the Jacksonville Roar. Our studio’s most important goal is to encourage confidence in the children of our community. In 2008 we decided to change the name of our studio to FIRST COAST CENTER FOR THE ARTS to reflect all the ARTS our growing studio has to offer.
Miss Stacey has made a career out of Dance and Education. She began dancing at age 3 for Laurie Lanouette’s Dance Connection in Windham, NH. She performed jazz, ballet, contemporary and modern there as well as started her career and love of teaching. She soon obtained her Dance Teacher’s Certification of Boston. At 17 she moved to Florida to attend Jacksonville University as an Education Major and Dance Minor. While there she was also a varsity Cheerleader for the Football and Basketball teams. She returned home and taught for Laurie for 5 more years before another return to sunny and warm Florida. She now is in her 8th year teaching Ballet, Acro and Jazz at the First Coast Center for the Arts.
Stacey has a true passion for children, dance and education and it shows in her home life as well. She and her husband live in Jacksonville and are raising three girls who also love to dance.
